We finished our work on the detached garage we constructed for a client recently. The garage is finished with fiber-cement siding and metal soffits and fascias for low maintenance. The overhead door jamb is constructed of Azek PVC trim as it is very durable in damp locations.
We added a shed roof at the rear of the garage to create a dog run for the owners dog. This worked out very nicely. We lowered the concrete floor of the dog run about 7” below the garage floor. Open framing kept costs down. The new fenced dog run sits right under the roof, but the dog still gets plenty of light and air.
