A customer at the Dundas post office had difficulty with a car, jumped the curb and hit the building. Even though the speed was low, since it was a wood frame building there was some damage to the structure. The blow from the vehicle knocked loose some of the masonry foundation blocks, cracked from framing and buckled the siding. The owner hired Northfield Construction Company to make the necessary repairs.
One of the challenges in a job like this is matching the colors of the existing metal siding. It turns out the owner had the building painted last year, so we only had to match the size and texture of the siding….then get the wall we repaired painted. When our work was completed it was difficult to tell where the damage had been done—the new work matched the existing work very well.
