This home is a traditional ‘four square’ design, with four bedroom and a central hall on the second level. The exterior is finished using cement lap siding and Portland cement stucco.
Designed by Vivus Architects of Northfield, the home features extensive use of wood trim throughout. The foundation of the home is insulated concrete forms (ICF’s) that use reinforced concrete sandwiched between foam insulation. The walls of the home are constructed using structural insulated panels (SIP’s). SIP’s are made of 6″ foam insulation sandwiched between structural sheathing.
There are wood floors on most of the main level. Cabinet and trim work is custom material. The doors are cherrry panel doors. Clerestory windows are placed facing south over the stairway which gathers light into the center of the home. The stairway is all hardwood.
